Prac, Prac, Prac, Prac!!!

Finally my assignment 2 is submitted and what a relief that is, especially to know after what felt like over 100 hours of working on it, even if my computer crashes my assignment is safe!

Now I have started to work through the week 7 learning path and I have come across this information:

Teaching

The primary aim of the EDC3100 Professional Experience is for you to gain experience at teaching lessons into which you have designed the use of ICT-based learning activities in a real school setting. The amount of teaching expected for EDC3100 over your 3 weeks is:

  1. Week 1 – teaching for one-third of each day.
  2. Week 2 – teaching for one-half of each day.
  3. Week 3 – teaching for two-thirds of each day with one full day.

I must say, im a little bit scared! I have not stepped foot in a school since I left high school almost 9 years ago and now my first time back I’m expected to teach a at least one-third of a day up to one whole day!

At the same time I am still feeling confident that I can do it, maybe not straight away but I should definitely be able to achieve this by the end of the designated weeks. I know I can do this, teaching is definitely what I want to do in life and is what I am really passionate about.

It was very beneficial to read through the information provided to me as it has allowed me to really start to wrap my head around what is expected and paint a picture in my head of what Prac might be like when I get out there.
